Kaizer Chiefs captain Itumeleng Khune has issued a rallying cry to his teammates, reminding them to stick together during what has been a difficult start to the season.
The Glamour Boys have gotten off to an uncertain start to the campaign, with two defeats and a draw in their opening three matches.
In addition, Chiefs are on a run that has seen the club record just one win in their last 16 matches played.
With that said, Chiefs did manage to put an end to the losing streak with a 1-1 draw against Platinum Stars in their last league outing.
However, Steve Komphela’s team still find themselves five points behind leaders Orlando Pirates at this early stage of proceedings.
Nonetheless, Khune has issued a statement reminding those in the Chiefs squad to stick together during this period of adversity.
He took to his official Twitter account and said: “The strength of the team lies in the individual, and the strength of the individual is in the team. (Let’s) come together. You can’t change what has already happened so choose to look ahead instead of behind you.”
Chiefs’ next encounter in the league is against Highlands Park on Wednesday.
